Kurukku the Pigeon’s Clock Picture Book
The educational picture book from Kumon Publishing, Kurukku the Pigeon’s Clock Picture Book, is now available in an iPad app.
The new iPad app has added a hint and digital clock display function to the original Kumon clock design which can also be read in 1-minute increments. This app provides a fun way to learn how to tell the time by moving the clock hands around as you follows Kurukku’s story.
Suitable for children aged between 4-6
(Modes)
(1) Picture Book Mode
Cuckoo, the forest’s clock keeper and the cheeky pigeon, Kurukku, tell all the animals of the forest the time.
Cuckoo it’s 6 o’clock.
Kurukku it’s 1 minute past 12.
Move the hands of the clock along with the story!
Watch the pictures move along with the story or listen to the fun sounds and other fun features when you get it right. The app also includes hints to use, and a digital clock display feature, which you can adjust to your child’s level.
(2) One day with Kurukku
Move the arms on the clock and see how Kurukku spends his day.
It’s 7 o’clock in the morning. I wonder if Kurukku is still sleeping? Move the arms of the clock to 7 o’clock and see what happens.
Answering the problems (10 in total) allows children to relate daily routines with different times of the day.
